Deadline Extended to APRIL 30, 2024
The MWCC Environmental Conference Planning Committee is seeking speakers to present technical topics individually or in panel discussions. Each breakout session will be an hour and a half and include 2 or 3 presentations.
This year’s theme is “Year (Area) 51: Entering a New Era of the Unknown" and we are specifically interested in presentations which can relate this theme to technical topics. What changes (community, regulatory, political, industry, other?) do you see coming in the future that will affect our roles in waste control and environmental issues? When are good operational practices limited by “outside” restrictions, and how do you achieve optimal results in this new era? What innovative means are you using to evaluate project performance, and what defines success?
The conference will be divided into multiple tracks, including:
Traditional Solid Waste
| General Environmental
| "Green" Issues
|
These tracks may be further subdivided to break out topics (ex: Legal Issues, Coal Combustion Residuals and Remediation). In addition to the tracks listed above, MDNR will be sponsoring two tracks related to Brownfield Redevelopment and Tanks.
The MWCC Environmental Conference Planning Committee will select speakers based on time availability and applicability to the conference focus. Selected speakers will be contacted in May 2024.
